Entry 2 - Day 1

 

I've checked the storage compartment in the lifepod and it contains the following;

• 2 x Emergency flares
• 2 x Water rations
• 2 x Nutrition blocks

...and that's it.  

It's supposed to be outfitted with enough equipment to sustain two crew members, but there's no environmental suits, the blueprint database for the fabricator has corrupted, the distress signal isn't broadcasting and the short-range radio is broken! 

Just riffic.  At least the hull integrity is good, the medical kit fabricator is powered and I have emergency lighting for the time being, but a couple of bottles of water and nutrition blocks aren't going to last long.  I'm going to have to see what's outside the pod at some stage.

The PDA has rebooted into something called 'survival mode', which apparently comes equipped with a sub A.I. to help keep me alive.  I think it's mostly just pre-programmed responses, but anything is better than just talking to myself.  Some of its high functions have been disabled, so I can't take 3D pics or vid any more, but the single lens cam still seems to work.

Anyway, the PDA has synced up to my Medi-pill and is checking my overall health.  Apart from a minor head wound, it seems to think I'm okay.  I guess it isn't programmed to assess stress levels.

I'm going to have something to eat and drink, then dress the wound on my head, and finally decide whether to leave the pod.
